Now, as expected, the leak of information about Windows 11 begins

The main part of this announcement was supposed to be a presentation of significant changes to the user interface, codenamed Sun Valley. As is known, a significant part of the UX changes will be borrowed from the Windows 10X shell, and Windows 10X will not come to the market.
And a completely new design is perfect for this
What’s new in Windows 11: – Windows 11 will receive a completely new design. Microsoft certainly needs a good reason to retract its previous statements and abandon Windows 10, introducing a new operating system number. The Redmond giant has long been preparing a redesign for the update codenamed Sun Valley (« Sun Valley ») – apparently, under this name it was Windows 11. The Sun Valley project flickered on the network for a long time – Microsoft regularly leaked details of the new interface style, insiders shared previously unknown information, and popular designers in their circles developed realistic concepts based on all this data. – Start and system items will float above the bottom bar.
Start is the business card and face of each latest version of Windows
It is not surprising that in Windows 11 the developers will redesign it again, but not so much in functional terms as in visual terms – the start window will be above the bottom bar. It must be admitted that these minor changes make the system much fresher. Judging by information from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the “interiors” of this menu – the innovations will only affect the design of the window itself. The control panel will also float and its design will be exactly the same as the “Start”. The action center will be combined with the control buttons – a similar one has long been used in some other operating systems.
– Right angles will disappear, they will be replaced by grids
Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that it will be isolated – the control buttons will be located in a separate panel, notifications in another, and specific items (for example, the player) in a separate panel. Indeed, insiders and concept designers do not agree on this issue – some are sure that Microsoft will not change its traditions and will retain right angles, while others are sure that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the grid fashion. The latter better fits the definition of “completely new Windows” – floating menus are not enough to consider a new design truly new. Grids should affect practically everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows. True, even on this issue, the opinions of concept designers differ – some draw fillets on all possible interface elements, others combine them with right angles.
– There will be a transparent background with a blur everywhere
There are disagreements on the Web about the style of displaying island windows, corner design and the effect of menu levitation, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of windows. Most leaks and design renders show transparency and blur in all windows, whether it be in the Start menu or Explorer at least. Moreover, these effects are present even in the assembly of the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed for dual-screen devices and weak gadgets in parallel with the Sun Valley project.
