Scenario
An up-and-coming chef and a recent divorcee have their lives changed forever when a chance encounter brings them together in a deeply moving romance that spans a decade. Director John Crowley also directed Andrew Garfield in Garfield’s first feature film, Boy A (2007).
Lots of people in the audience laughing and crying
Well, it was definitely an enjoyable film to watch with a lot of other people. I didn’t feel emotionally destroyed – I felt uplifted by the performances I saw – Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are wonderful in this film.
They are so good together – there’s a real sense of trust between them
I overheard a man leaving the festival hall sarcastically saying to his friend “and she’s a world-class chef…” I didn’t mind any of that because I believed in her. I don’t want to see a film about normal, boring life – I want escapism, romance, something different from my life but based on truth.
A domestic drama but between two beautiful people
